# Domains & DNS

To leave the test sender, verify a sending domain.

## Steps

1. In the app, open **Domains** and add the hostname
2. Choose the **SES region** (defaults to `sa-east-1`)
3. Publish SPF/DKIM / MAIL FROM records exactly as shown for that region
4. Wait for verification (minutes to a few hours)
5. Send with `from` on that domain

## Best practices

- Prefer a dedicated subdomain (`mail.yourdomain.com`) when possible
- Avoid conflicting SPF policies
- MAIL FROM is **region-specific** (e.g. `bounce` vs `bounce-us`) so MX records do not collide — see [Regions](/docs/regions)
- Watch bounce/complaint rates — accounts can auto-pause
