# Introduction

Envimaily for Developers is a **transactional email HTTP API** with a Resend-shaped surface, sending via **AWS SES sa-east-1 (São Paulo)**.

## What you get

- Send mail with `POST /v1/emails` (also `POST /emails`)
- Authenticate with `Authorization: Bearer em_…`
- Use a shared test sender while you finish DNS
- Receive signed webhook events
- Migrate from Resend by swapping base URL and key

## Free plan

| Resource | Limit |
|----------|-------|
| Emails / month | 1,000 |
| Emails / day | 100 |
| Domains | 1 |
| Webhooks | 1 |
| Log retention | 3 days |

Dev Pro raises quotas (50,000/mo, 5,000/day) from **R$49/month**.

## Marketing vs developer accounts

| | Marketing | Developer |
|--|-----------|-----------|
| Entry | `/signup` | `/dev/signup` |
| Home | campaigns | `/dev` dashboard |
| Focus | lists & automations | API + keys |

## FAQ

### Do I need SMTP?

Not for the current flow. The HTTP API covers transactional send. A first-party SMTP relay (`smtp.envimaily.com`) is on the roadmap — we never hand customers SES SMTP credentials.

### Is it Resend-compatible?

Payload shape and `/emails` + `/v1/emails` paths follow a Resend-like surface. See the [migration guide](/docs/migrate/resend).

### Where is the markdown?

Every page has a raw version at `/docs/<slug>.md` plus a **Copy as markdown** button — useful for AI agents and GEO.
